Available Rebates

EnergySmart offers rebates for residents of Boulder County, the City of Boulder, the City of Louisville, and the Town of Superior. Additionally, EnergySmart offers income-qualified rebates for residents of Boulder County at or below 100% of the area median income. Check out our income-qualified rebates page to see if you qualify and for more details. Other area municipalities and utilities also offer rebates, which you can explore on our Other Rebates page.

All EnergySmart rebates, except our Income-Qualified rebates, can be combined and can also stack on top of rebates or incentive offered from utility providers. For instance, if you live in the City of Louisville you can combine our standard Boulder County rebates, City of Louisville rebates, and rebates from Xcel (if you’re an Xcel customer), up to program limitations.

All work must be completed and invoiced between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 to qualify for these rebates.

EnergySmart Rebates for Boulder County Residents

Standard Rebates

EnergySmart offers standard rebates for insulation and air sealing, electric appliances like induction cooktops, electric heating and cooling systems (heat pumps), heat pump water heaters, and heat pump dryers. Rebates for electric panel upgrades are also available.

Income-Qualified Rebates

EnergySmart Income-Qualified rebates are available for Boulder County residents whose household earns 100% of Area Median Income (AMI) or less, based on total income. Qualifying Boulder County residents can receive 70% of project costs for home energy efficiency (like insulation and air sealing) or electrification upgrades (like heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and induction cooktops), up to $4,000 per year. Electric panel upgrade rebates, and rebates for site-built and manufactured homes are available.

City of Boulder Rebates

The City of Boulder offers energy efficiency rebates for insulation and air sealing projects, as well as rebates for home electrification (replacing gas-powered appliances with electric models) and solar installation. These rebates can be paired with Boulder County standard rebates and available utility rebates, up to program limits.
